Imari is the name for Japanese porcelain wares made in the town of Arita, in the former Hizen Province, northwestern Kyūshū. They were exported to Europe extensively from the port of Imari, Saga, between the second half of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th century. </span></span></span><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51);"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Typically the colours used are cobalt blue with red and gold. This pair are decorated with a Bosai central design and panels of both floral and classical Japanese design with also bird and floral detail on the base. This Pair date to The Meiji Period and I believe they were made Circa 1870. Condition is good and this pair are of a large size and would make for a striking view in the home.<br /> </span></span></span></p> <p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0rem; margin-bottom: 0px; padding-bottom: 12px; color: rgb(21, 21, 21); font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; text-align: center; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial;"><strong><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51);"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Diam</span></span></span></strong><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51);"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> 18" (46cm) </span><strong><span style="font-family: Arial;">Item Sold</span></strong></span></span></p>
