Wonderful Rare Identical Pair of Early English Regency Royal Crown Derby Twin Handle Tureens of small proportions, complete with original covers. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
Lavishly hand decorated in the Imari pattern with colours of iron red and dark blue with gilt on a white ground, each raised on four gilt paw feet. Condition: Superb condition with no restoration, all handles and feet are perfect, light wear to gilding at high points, some darkening on white ground commensurate with age, a few chips inside one cover, both bases with iron red mark for circa 1815. Width: (entire) 7" (18cm). Depth: 4.5" (11.5cm). Height: 5.5" (14cm).
