This Large French Scarf Box was made Circa 1890 and is quite simple a Masterclass in Construction and design. The Box was made to store a Ladies Collection of Scarvs ( yes Scarvs!!,... France was a very Rich Country Circa 1890). The finest Rosewood was used with Superb Brass inlay and the finish both external ind internal is excellent. The Top and front open to reveal a Rosewood interior with large storage area above two drawers. The original Lock and working Key are present.
